AI at the U Forum: July 22, 2026

Faculty, staff, students, and community members joined the July 22 AI at the U Forum to explore the growing AI ecosystem at the University of Utah. Topics included university AI resources and events, AI literacy and responsible use, the new Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence program, and Redtail, Utah's new AI supercomputer.

Attendees learned about upcoming opportunities including the AI Foundations Series, Behind the AI Curtain workshop, the One-U Responsible AI Symposium, and the Student-Led AI Symposium. The forum also highlighted ways to engage with the university's AI community through office hours, communities of practice, and AI in Action story submissions.

The session concluded with an overview of Redtail and its first call for research and societal impact projects, providing new opportunities for researchers, educators, and innovators across Utah to leverage advanced AI computing resources.
